Revealed: Cristiano Ronaldo and the 10 players who have now won the Champions League 5 times

Cristiano Ronaldo was last night joined in a record-setting club by a whole host of Real Madrid stars, on the back of Los Blancos’ latest Champions League triumph.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men of course returned to action just shy of 24 hours ago.

Having already added to the club’s bulging silverware cabinet by means of the La Liga title, Real made the trip to Paris, hopeful of making it a double for the season in a meeting with Liverpool.

And, when all was said and done, get the better of the Premier League giants is precisely what the European specialists went on to do.

A solitary goal, netted by Vinicius Jr. just shy of the hour mark, ultimately proved enough to guide Real to a 1-0 triumph, and a historic 14th Champions League title.

And, as alluded to above, in the process of securing glory on the biggest stage once more, a number of Los Merengues’ star performers etched their respective names into the history books of European football.

Before last night, only one player had managed to emerge triumphant in the Champions League on five separate occasions – Cristiano Ronaldo.

Now, however, the Portuguese has been joined by no fewer than 9 (yes, nine) new entrants into what was once such an exclusive club.

Alongside Ronaldo, all of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Casemiro, Dani Carvajal, Isco, Toni Kroos, Marcelo, Luka Modric and Nacho have now tasted glory in the continent’s most prestigious club competition in five seasons.
